Matthew I. Hyun​
CEO & Founder

Matthew has been Chief Executive Officer of Koram Biotech Corp since 1988. Prior to founding the company in 1988, Matthew worked as a research scientist at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of National Institute of Health (NIH) in the U.S. He also worked in various research roles at Human Embryonic Materials (HEM) Research, Biocon and Litton Bionetics. He has a degree in Clinical Pathology from Korea University.​

Edward W. Hyun​
President​

Edward joined Koram Biogen Corp in 2014 as a managing director. Before joining the company, Edward held various roles of increasing responsibilities across several countries and regions at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), including Regional Director, Asia Pacific & Emerging Markets and Global Pharmaceutical and Consumer Healthcare Collaboration Lead. Prior to GSK, he worked at Amgen and biotech start-ups in California. He has an MBA from Georgetown University and holds a degree in biochemistry from University of Wisconsin, Madison.​

Lucy Y. Won​
Head of Technical Support & Marketing​​

Lucy joined Koram Biogen in 2015 to head up Koram’s technical support and marketing teams. Before joining Koram, Lucy led research projects supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) and funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea as a research professor at Sogang University. Prior to Sogang University, Lucy trained and conducted research as a visiting fellow at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the U.S. She received her master’s degree in Microbiology from Kangwon National University and her Ph.D in Physiology from Yonsei University.​​

Amber S. Kim​
Head of Business Enabling Operations​​

Amber joined Koram Biogen in 2014 to head up Koram’s business enabling operations. Before joining Koram, Amber worked at the Embassy of Israel as a Commercial Officer. She also led ERP task force team and internal audit task force teams at Dole Korea after working as a banker and auditor at the Union Bank of Arab & French Banks (UBAF). She has a Master of Applied Finance from Adelaide University and holds a degree in Microbiology from Seoul Women’s University​​​
