TDP-43 Protein이란?
TARDBP 또는 TDP-43로도 알려진 43kDa의 TAR(Transactivation response) DNA 결합 단백질은 HIV-1 바이러스의 TAR DNA 요소에 결합하는 transcriptional inactivator로서 처음 분리되었습니다. Neumann et al. (2006) 논문에서 병리학적 TDP-43으로 알려진 TARDBP의 hyperphosphorylated, ubiquitinated 및 cleaved form 형태들는 근위축성 측색 경화증(ALS)을 특징짓는 tau-negative 및 ubiquitin-positive 포함물의 주요 구성 요소이며 전측두엽 변성 (FTLD-U)의 가장 일반적인 병리학적 하위 유형이라는 것을 발견했습니다.
