Speaker: PhD, Rebecca Northeast

Product Manager and Science Liaison @Proteintech

Dr. Rebecca Northeast obtained a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Manchester following an MSc in Immunology and BSc in Pharmacology. She then went on to complete a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focusing on metabolism and physiology. Rebecca’s research and publications focused on the circadian regulation of homeostatic brain areas involved in feeding and drinking, the highlight of which was discovering a novel mechanism describing how local circadian clocks regulate the blood brain barrier. She also specialised in sleep and feeding behaviours following a research placement at the University of Oxford.
